What if I need to modify transportation plans during camp? E.g., I would like my camper to ride the bus home rather than picked up.
Transportation adjustments can be made up until 5pm on the last full day of camp. Any adjustments made after 5pm will need to keep original arrangements.
What if I cannot afford camp?
First time camper scholarships are available. Please contact our office for further information. If the first time scholarship does not apply to you, please contact your local church for scholarship opportunities. If you have any questions, please reach out to the camp directors of your specific camp, contact information listed on the main summer camp page.
What Denomination is Quaker Hill's Kids Camps?
Quaker Hill is a friends (Quaker) camp, but our camps cater to all denominations. We are strongly rooted in Quaker traditions but our campers, staff and guests come from many denominations and backgrounds. Quaker Hill's Kids Camp is in partnership with Eastwind Community Church, a non-denominational church in East Boise.
How does the camp store work? Do I need to send money with my camper?
Each cabin will have a designated time to go to the camp store. Kids Campers are allowed to spend $1.50 on candy / soda per day, equaling 1 candy and 1 soda item (or two candies or two sodas). Campers may also purchase souvenirs during this time. Souvenirs such as apparel goods range from $10-50 dollars. Campers are not required to bring or spend money if they do not wish.
Counselors will use envelops with the campers name to collect camper money to mitigate the risk of it being lost or stollen. Whatever money is not used will be returned to the camper before departure on the last day of camp.
My Camper has daily or occasional medications, who will oversee their directed use?
Quaker Hill's Friends Camps have one nurse allotted to their camp. The nurse is responsible for ensuring that campers receive and take their appropriate medications while at camp. In the case the nurse is unavailable, camp directors will assume dispensing of medications. All medications must be turned into the nurse upon check in, including any homeopathic medications or supplements.
For Day Camp, please speak with their counselor if a camper has any medications that need to be taken during the day.
Can my camper ride the bus to camp but be picked up from camp or vise versa.
Yes! Please call our camp office at (208) 634 - 2083 to make transportation arrangements

Can my camper request a specific roommate or counselor?
We do our best to honor all roommate requests within one grade of each other. Due to the unique nature of housing we cannot 100% guarantee roommate requests.
Should I send snacks with my camper?
Sending snacks to kids camp is not recommended. There will be snacks provided, as well as lots of opportunities for seconds (and thirds!) at meal times.
If you are concerned with dietary restrictions, please call our office at (208) 634-2083.
